All Church of England Churches are managed by a Parochial Church Council (PCC) which is entirely different to a Parish Council.

The PCC consists of the vicar and church contacts together with representatives of the local community.

Every year, an AGM is held when new members can be nominated and elected, and existing members can retire.

Our official title is " PCC of St. James the Less Church" and we usually meet 4 times a year.

Our duties are to look after the financial affairs of the Church and the care & maintenance of the building and its contents &, in addition, it has a "pastoral" role.

We are an " Excepted Charity" & all PCC members are trustees of this charity.

Following the Rev. Mark Cannon's resignation last autumn all six churches in the Benefice have worked together to create a profile. It is hoped that this profile will help towards finding a new vicar. The profile can be viewed by clicking on the button below:

The Church Treasurer is: Mr Paul Whatmough. He will attend PCC Meetings but will not be a voting PCC Member.
